A full-time Social Worker position is available in Wilkes Barre, PA, to provide emotional support services to elementary students in grades K-4. This onsite contract role involves working closely with young children to address their emotional and social needs within the school setting, promoting a supportive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver direct social work services to elementary students needing emotional support - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement intervention plans - Conduct assessments, develop individualized support strategies, and monitor student progress - Provide crisis intervention assistance when necessary - Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies - Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary support efforts Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field - Relevant licensure or certification to practice as a Social Worker in schools - Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in emotional support roles - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within the school community - Ability to manage caseload while maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics - Knowledge of community resources and referral processes Location: Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania Position Type: Full-Time Contract, Onsite Assignment Term: Immediate start through June 9, 2026, with possible extension This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the well-being and academic success of young students.
