Raritan Bay Area YMCA is seeking a part time Mental Health
Clinician (Intensive In-Home and Outpatient) to provide services
in-homes within Middlesex County, in-office and/or virtually as
needed to meet specific client needs. For years, the Raritan Bay
Area YMCA has been a cornerstone of the Perth Amboy community and
beyond. Our impact continues to grow through programs centered on
our three Areas of Focus: Healthy Living, Youth Development, and
Social Responsibility. The Y’s Mental Health Services Department is
dedicated to addressing the critical need for accessible,
high-quality mental and behavioral health services, as well as
social support, for individuals of all ages. Under the supervision
of the Mental Health Program Director, the Mental Health Clinician
will engage with youth and families therapeutically to address a
range of youth and family difficulties impacting mental health and
well-being; including emotional regulation, self-esteem,
socialization, communication, interpersonal skills and family
relationships. The Mental Health Clinician will be passionate about
working with children and families, and will demonstrate the
ability to utilize evidenced, strength-based, person-centered
approaches, and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary
wrap-around team. Essential Duties: Conduct intake interviews and
assessments, create and implement treatment and behavioral plans.
Utilize evidenced based interventions to conduct weekly therapy
sessions which support client/family treatment plan goal
achievement. Utilize electronic health record software to create
and maintain updated and accurate client files including intake,
progress, treatment, discharge and other notes, forms and documents
as required by RBAYMCA and partnering organizations. Work in
collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to assist individuals
and families managing mental health, emotional and behavioral
challenges. Establish and maintain partnerships with client and
family wraparound/interdisciplinary team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist,
school, care manager etc.) and respond to client, family and
stakeholder’ requests/communications in a timely manner. Engage in
ethical discharge and transition of clients supporting their
connection to natural and community resources and supports. Engage
in supervision/consultation as required/needed based on licensure
level and RBAYMCA Protocol. Be knowledgeable of, follow and
maintain ethical guidelines and practices. Position Details:
Part-Time: Minimum of 10 face-to-face client hours per week.

State Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Marriage & Family
License (LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, PhD). Prior experience in youth
development/engagement and/or serving underserved, multicultural
and lingual populations. Knowledge of evidence-based modalities for
therapy and treatment. Reliable and punctual with ability to
complete independent tasks while being part of the collaborate team
