vast and ambitious digital transformation program. A cornerstone of
this roadmap is the acceleration of its data transformation and of
the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning
(ML) solutions, to accelerate R&D, manufacturing and commercial
performance and bring better drugs and vaccines to patients faster,
to improve health and save lives. The R&D Data & AI Products
and Platforms Team is a key team within R&D Digital, focused on
developing and delivering Data and AI products for R&D use
cases. This team plays a critical role in pursuing broader
democratization of data across R&D and providing the foundation
to scale AI/ML, advanced analytics, and operational analytics
capabilities. We are seeking a Product Line Owner to lead the
strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a portfolio of high-impact data
products that enable data standardization, harmonization, lineage,
accessibility, and advanced analytics across the clinical
development lifecycle. This person will lead a team of Product
Owners focused on various domains within clinical
developmentincluding EDC, labs, imaging, external data, and
regulatory submission datasets. As the most senior product leader
in this product line, you will drive alignment with key clinical,
regulatory, and statistical stakeholders, influence enterprise-wide
data architecture decisions, and build best-in-class data products
that power clinical science, trial operations, and next-gen AI use

Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Define and own the clinical
development data product and platform strategy that delivers
trusted, harmonized, and analytics-ready data across the clinical
lifecycle. Partner with clinical, biostatistics, regulatory, and
digital stakeholders to align product vision to business priorities
and regulatory requirements. Ensure the roadmap is scalable and
flexible to meet global and therapeutic-area specific needs. Lead
quarterly and annual planning, prioritizing initiatives based on
impact, resource capacity, and scientific value. Bridge the gap
between scientists and product teams to ensure that outcomes are
aligned to business needs and value. Gather and prioritize
requirements from scientists, technical stakeholders, and
cross-functional teams to define the What and Why of product
development. Product Portfolio Management Direct a team of Data and
AI Product Owners responsible for building and evolving individual
clinical data products (e.g., EDC ingestion, SDTM conversion,
metadata lineage, imaging data hubs). Oversee cross-product
dependencies, ensuring interoperability, governance alignment, and
compliance with data quality standards. Ensure all products follow
best practices in FAIR data principles, CI/CD delivery, and
audit-readiness. Build and manage a shared services model across
product teams, including re-usable data assets, common pipeline
components, and metadata catalogs. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Represent the clinical data product domain at key leadership forums
and strategic decision-making bodies. Collaborate with Digital
R&D platform leads, enterprise data governance teams, and AI/ML
leaders to influence data infrastructure investments. Partner with
clinical system owners (e.g., Medidata, Veeva Vault) and external
data providers to optimize data ingestion and lifecycle management.
Team Development & Leadership Build and mentor a high-performing
team of Product Owners, associate product managers, and data
product analysts. Cultivate a culture of accountability, agility,
innovation, and user-centered thinking. Define success metrics,
performance reviews, and development plans for team members.
Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning
across product domains. Delivery Excellence Ensure timely and
high-quality delivery of data products in alignment with sprint
plans and release milestones. Champion agile product development
and iterative delivery, balancing short-term execution with
long-term product health. Drive measurement of impact through
business KPIs, data usage metrics, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Resolve escalated product or delivery risks, and coordinate
mitigation strategies across internal and external teams. About You
Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelors degree
required, Masters or Ph.D. a strong plus. 10 years of experience in
product leadership, including 5 years managing product teams or
portfolios in life sciences or clinical research. Deep
understanding of clinical development data domains, systems (e.g.,
EDC, lab systems, imaging, eTMF), and regulatory data requirements
(e.g., CDISC, ADaM, SDTM). Demonstrated success in building and
scaling complex data products in a regulated environment. Proven
leadership experience influencing cross-functional teams and
driving digital or data transformation in R&D. Familiarity with
metadata management, data catalogs, data lineage, and cloud-native
data architecture (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Databricks). Ability to
define product vision and strategy and translate that into team
deliverables and stakeholder outcomes. Excellent communication and
executive presentation skills, including the ability to represent
the organization at internal and external forums. Proven track
record of hiring, developing, and retaining top product talent. Key
Technical Requirements & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of
Agile/Scrum methodologies, product portfolio management, and
iterative product development. Experience managing CI/CD pipelines
and product releases for data infrastructure. Familiarity with GxP,
21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, and other regulatory and privacy standards.
Experience working with product tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro,
and enterprise data platforms. A strong data-driven mindset, with
the ability to balance innovation with compliance and operational
