Job Description:
What will you be doing? Barclays Services Corp. seeks Cash
Equities Developer AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions
available): Design and develop trade-capture, position-keeping,
aggregation, and client-booking applications in the Markets
Investment Bank. Develop real-time scalable reconciliation services
for Operations teams to monitor booked and settled trades. Design
and develop containerized, scalable, and uniform caching platform
for different entities across Markets Pre-Trade. Design and
implement a modularized One-Ops UI dashboard for all operations
monitoring in Markets Pre-Trade. Write scalable Java microservices
across Cash Equities to service different repositories of data in
cache and database layers. Design architecture, re-engineering, and
migration strategies for applications moving from on-premises to
cloud platforms. Write and maintain application and infrastructure
code (IaaS) for deployments in AWS or SI-Kubernetes platforms using
automated CI/CD pipelines. Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $170,000 per
year Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $175,000 per year The minimum and
maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or
base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of
compensation or benefits that may be available. Barclays employees

This position is eligible for an incentive award. Purpose of the
role To design, develop and improve software, utilising various
engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and
technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities Development and delivery of high-quality software
solutions by using industry aligned programming languages,
frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable,
maintainable, and optimized for performance. Cross-functional
collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers
to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and
ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote
a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Stay informed of
industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute
to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of
technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding
practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and
ensure secure software solutions. Implementation of effective unit
testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and
reliability. Assistant Vice President Expectations To advise and
