currently have an opportunity as a Placement Counselor. The Work
Ready program provides employment-oriented services to those
receiving Public Assistance benefits, including those who require
specific help managing barriers to self-sufficiency. This role,
located in our office in Center City Philadelphia , offers
flexibility and a hybrid environment. This position is full-time,
35 hours per week. Key Responsibilities : Provide appropriate
community service sites, job search and job placement activities;
place clients at those sites Arrange for on-site employer
presentations Develop ongoing relationships with employers
Facilitate employment and other related workshops Skills &
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or two years of college course
work (Associates degree) in psychology, education, social work,
vocational or other allied and appropriate fields and at least two
years’ experience in social agencies or special training may be
substituted in lieu college degree. Appropriate experience (sales,
job development) required Must have strong interpersonal
communication skills, including verbal and written skills.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and collaborate with a
variety of customers in the Welfare to Work Industry. Proficient in
MS Office applications (especially MS Word and Excel). Willingness
to learn JEVS specific database. Personal vehicle preferred. Valid
driver’s license and insurance needed. Adhere to JEVS Human

$40,500 to $49,500 and will vary based on factors such as skills
and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that
JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
