Description Atlantic Health is Seeking a Per Diem Physician
Assistant for Cardiac Surgery in Morristown, New Jersey Atlantic
Health, one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit healthcare networks,
is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant (PA) to join the
nationally recognized Cardiac Surgery team at Morristown Medical
Center. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to one of
the region’s premier cardiac programs, which performs more than
1,000 open-heart procedures each year and holds a prestigious
three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Adult
Cardiac Surgery Report for excellence in Isolated CABG, CABG/AVR,
and Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement. This top-tier rating places
Atlantic Health among the nation’s elite in cardiac surgical care.
The Physician Assistant will serve as first assist in the operating
room and provide expert care to post-operative cardiac surgery
patients. Proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, Open Radial
Artery Harvesting, and Femoral Vessel Exposure is required. The PA
must also be skilled in procedures including central and arterial
line placement, chest tube insertion, and suturing. Benefits

Qualifications Qualifications Graduated from an accredited
Physician Assistant program Must be licensed or eligible for
licensure in New Jersey National certification from NCCPA ACLS and
BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Surgery
experience required Must have excellent communication and computer
skills Strong work ethic and a team player who can work
independently
