We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 90-day locum tenens assignment with our client in New York. This position starts on Feb 2, 2026, offers flexible scheduling with 8am-8pm shifts, and involves providing telehealth primary care services from within the hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with throat cultures and respiratory issues, working collaboratively with a medical assistant to deliver comprehensive patient care. Job Details Location: New York Start Date: Feb 2, 2026 LOA: 90 days Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician Assistant Schedule: 8am-8pm; schedule is flexible and will be discussed during the interview Responsibilities and Duties Conduct telehealth video calls with patients in the hospital to address primary care needs Collaborate with a medical assistant who visits patient homes to collect prescribed tests Provide evaluation and management of respiratory issues and perform throat cultures Prescribe and review diagnostic tests as clinically indicated Document patient encounters in accordance with facility protocols Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure continuity of care Additional Information Must hold an active New York license as a Physician Assistant At least 2 years of experience with throat cultures and respiratory care required Board certification is not required for this role Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
