Job Description:
Position: Project Manager - Reconstruction
Position Type: Permanent
Location: Denville, NJ (role will require travel to project
sites)
Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm (additional hours as needed to complete
projects)
The Project Manager is responsible for managing, planning,
organizing and controlling construction projects from start to
finish. This role will coordinate and monitor field operations
ensuring safe and efficient work, overseeing all personnel and
materials. Specific duties may vary depending on the type of
project, but generally tasks include scheduling work to proceed
according to a strict timeline, conducting audits and checks to
ensure that work corresponds with scope or customer requests.
What you will be doing:
Manage reconstruction team of different disciplines to achieve the
best results, including daily coordination of subcontractors.
Assist in finding and vetting subcontractors.
Manage TPA projects.
Scope projects.
Precise scheduling of all material deliveries to ensure daily
progress & timely completion.
Determine the priority of assignments based on critical
deadlines.
Perform daily administration of change orders, review of all
project related costs with an accurate representation and
understanding of costs.
Communicate the scope or change order to the customer.
Effectively manage any problems and evaluate facts to resolve
issues.
Responsible for managing multiple job sites.
Track all inspections throughout the progress of the job.
Update job progress, documented with photos in Salesforce CRM.
Track change orders, documentation, acquire approval of same &
advise Sales.
Provide guidance to field staff & subcontractors to maintain
schedules and budgets.
Train, develop and conduct yearly performance reviews of
construction team members.
Represent the company in a professional manner and adhere to
company standards and policies.
Ensure job safety, confirm tools and equipment are in safe
condition and operated safely, PPE is worn appropriately, work
sites are clean, and proper final clean-up is conducted.
Exceed Customer's expectations and receive recommendations.
What experience we are looking for:
5 years of experience as a foreman, supervisor, or project manager
in residential Construction.
Demonstrated leadership skills and strategies for organizing all
scopes, people, material, tools, and equipment to manage project
successfully.
Knowledge of Insurance claims and Xactimate software.
Must be well versed in all construction methodologies.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to read and prepare daily activity reports.
Ability to understand designs, contracts and specifications.
Computer literate in Microsoft applications.
