Technician Job Description Join our team as a CNC Grinding
Technician on the 1st shift, where you will be responsible for the
independent setup and operation of CNC-controlled grinding
machines. This role is crucial for producing high-quality, tight
tolerance parts using the metric system. Responsibilities
Independently set up and operate CNC-controlled grinding machines
and center grinders. Select, clamp, and align workpieces, fixtures,
tools, attachments, and accessories for machining. Set expansion
rates on finished hydraulic holders. Calculate and set controls to
regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, angle, and depth of
cut. Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized
machine control data. Balance grinding wheels required for
OD-grinding. Start and observe machine operations to detect
malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls as
needed. Communicate with supervisors or design engineers about
adjustments in dimensions and tolerances. Verify conformance of
finished workpieces by checking specifications and signing off on
manufacturing papers. Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, or
coworkers to resolve machining process or design difficulties.
Discuss equipment repairs with supervisors and perform all
scheduled maintenance intervals. Install replacement parts into
machines and test operation to ensure functionality and
performance. Maintain work areas in accordance with the 5S system,
organizing tools and cleaning spills. Essential Skills Proficiency
in grinding and handling CNC machines. High school diploma
required; machine technology certificate preferred. Minimum of 2
years' experience in grinding or a similar industrial field.
Understanding of hydraulic tool-holder applications. Ability to
read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical documents.
Experience with calipers and precision-grade gages for inspections.
Familiarity with both metric and English measurement systems.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting safety rules and
procedure manuals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in
manufacturing or construction sectors is advantageous. Why Work

and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
