experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join our Solutions and
Technology business unit. As a member of Avaya's core R&D,
design, development, and operations wing, you will maintain and
manage Avaya's real-time communication
infrastructure/applications/services/solutions deployed in the
cloud platform. You will work closely with Reference Architecture,
Automation, and Development teams to deliver and ensure reliable
and smooth functioning cloud infrastructure and services. To be
successful in this role, you will bring excellent technical skills,
the ability to ramp up on the fly, and a great team-player
attitude.ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIESBe part of Cloud Operations team
and work with other functional groups and stakeholders and ensure
the cloud platform is always stable, up and running. - Participate
in Cloud Operations on a day-to-day basis maintaining continuous
availability, durability, scale, and up time of the platform as
well as services/applications. - Troubleshoot, debug, and
technically lead the team in day-to-day activities as well as
mentor as needed in areas of expertise. - Monitor, manage, and
troubleshoot cloud-based infrastructure (GCP/AZURE) including
virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, backups, etc. -
Perform command-and control activities as necessary for service
restoration. - Closely work with stakeholders and plan the
maintenance activities of the cloud platform. - Participate in the
24x7 support for internal and external customers. - Conduct
post-incident reviews and follow-up on activities related to
incident resolution and continuous improvement. - Assist
stakeholders with deployment of their applications/services to the
cloud platform (GCP/AZURE). - Respond to and implement security
remediation as indicated by the Cloud Security team. - Plan and
implement changes to the cloud platform (GCP/AZURE),
infrastructure, services, and applications in accordance with
Change Management processAbout YouEXPERIENCE - Proven experience in
the Cloud Operations, support, and maintenance for any of the
public cloud platforms (GCP/AZURE).SKILLS & COMPETENCIESHaving 8+
years of industry experience and minimum 3 years of hands-on
experience in the following areas. - Extensive knowledge of any of
the public cloud platforms (GCP/AZURE). - Solid troubleshooting
experience with cloud services, virtual machines, storage, backups,
and applications running on Linux/Windows operating systems in
various monolithic or microservice architectures. - Demonstrated
experience with migrating an Enterprise class infrastructure to
public cloud platforms. - Should have working knowledge of
Public/Hybrid Cloud/Virtualization, Windows/Linux servers, Database
and Networking concepts. - Experience with monitoring tools like
Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK etc. - Hands-on experience in
deployment of microservices in Kubernetes based orchestration
suites. - Experience with Kubernetes networking services, CNIs,
load balancers and related technologies. - Hands-on experience with
infrastructure design, build, deployment, and automation using
scripting, Ansible, or Terraform. - Prior experience in
Telecommunications based solutions & technologies is an added
advantage. - Prior work experience with Avaya products/solutions is
an added advantage. - Ability to prioritize and multitask as
needed. - Ability to quickly assimilate technical and non-technical
information. - Outstanding collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with distributed team. -
Willing to work flexible hours as needed by the project. -
Experience with Avaya Aura applications would be considered an
asset but is not mandatory. - Experience with Starfish would be
considered an asset but is not mandatory. - Applicant must reside
in the US and be a US CitizenCompensationThe pay range for this
opportunity is from $111,100 to $150,000 + performance-related
bonus + benefitsThis range represents the anticipated low and high
end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to
receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company
performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors
such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and
