Job Description:
*Center for Developmental Disabilities*POSITION TITLE:*Early
Intervention Teacher/ Preschool Teacher*Supervisor: Executive
DirectorJOB PURPOSE:Teach pre-kindergarten early learning programs
for typically developing children and to children with ability
differences. Evaluate children referred to as part of a
multidisciplinary team of educators. Write evaluation reports based
on assessment scores, observation, family information, and
collected information from a multidisciplinary team. Write
Individualized educational plans (IEP) for identified children.
Design, write and implement lesson plans that reflect individual
goals for children. Collect data on the progress of goals for
children and change lesson plans and reflect the needs of
children.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree in Early
Childhood, Elementary Education, or Special Education
required.Certificates: PA teaching licenseExperience: One year of
experience teaching children in an early learning setting is
preferredOther: Requires a valid Drivers License*Job Specific
Performance Expectations:** Establish, maintain, and implement
standards of classroom management that support instruction*
Instructs assigned class* Perform assessments and write reports*
Write IEPs* Help to write and implement behavior plans* Attend
training and in-service days as assigned* Plan and implement a
developmentally appropriate intervention* Stabilize behaviors and
promote appropriate responses* Ensure that all plans, progress
notes, and other required paperwork meet best practice standards.*
Conduct a periodic review of educational goals and adapt plans as
needed.* Maintain an ongoing dialogue regarding treatment plans for
each child with the treatment team* Responsible to work in
conjunction with the Executive Director regarding daily issues and
concerns.* Responsible to perform duties professionally in response
to students, co-workers, and situations in which own values are
