About the Role We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Medical Biller to support and strengthen our revenue cycle operations. This role goes beyond basic payment posting — we are looking for someone who understands the full lifecycle of claims management and takes ownership of denial resolution and payment optimization. This position is ideal for a biller who enjoys working independently, identifying patterns in denials, and contributing to operational improvement within a growing behavioral health practice. Key Responsibilities Follow up on insurance denials and unpaid claims Investigate claim status and identify root causes Track and categorize denial trends; escalate systemic issues when appropriate Post insurance payments, copays, and patient payments Reconcile EOBs and ERAs; resolve unapplied balances Communicate professionally with patients regarding outstanding balances Establish payment plans per practice policy Maintain accurate documentation within the EHR Provide brief weekly summaries (denials reviewed, balances addressed, payments collected) Qualifications 2 years of medical billing experience (behavioral/mental health strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans Demonstrated ability to research and resolve claim denials Proficiency in insurance reimbursement workflows and compliance standards Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote setting Why Join Us?
